Refund & cancellation policy.
This Policy describes how Bloomsee handles cancellation, refunds, and credits for the Bloomsee Plus subscription. It is part of the Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meanings given in the Terms. Where this Policy and the Terms conflict, this Policy controls for refund and cancellation matters.
Plain-English summary. Cancel any time from your account — one click. Cancel before the trial ends and you are not charged. Cancel a paid month and you keep what you have already used but unused Coins don’t refund. Ask for a refund inside the first paid month and we’ll work it out by email. If our system fails to deliver enough of a shoot, you get an automatic Coin credit. Full detail follows.
1. How to cancel
You can cancel your subscription at any time, in either of two ways: (a) from your account page at /account, or (b) through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from the same page. Cancellation requires one click. We do not require you to speak with anyone, navigate a retention sequence, or wait for a confirmation. Cancellation stops future charges. Your access to the Service continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
2. The 3-day trial
The trial requires a payment method on file. If you cancel any time before the end of the trial, the cancellation takes effect immediately, no charge is made, and your trial Coins end at the same moment. If you do not cancel, on the day after the trial your card is charged for the first period of Bloomsee Plus — US$19 on the monthly plan, or US$119 on the annual plan — and you become a recurring subscriber on the auto-renewal schedule described in the Terms.
3. The 7-day first-cycle refund window
If you ask within the 7-day window, write to support@bloomsee.app from the email address on your account with the subject line “Refund request,” and we will refund your first-cycle charge through Stripe to the original card. We typically respond within five business days. We will honor good-faith requests promptly subject to the following limits: (a) if more than half of your monthly 30-Coin allowance has been spent on delivered outputs — photographs or video clips — that were not subsequently credited back, before the request, we will pro-rate the refund based on the unspent portion; (b) we may decline requests we reasonably determine are made in bad faith — including requests from accounts that show indicia of automated, coordinated, or duplicative-account abuse, that have previously initiated a chargeback against a Bloomsee subscription, or that are made in connection with a suspension or termination under Section 8 of the Terms of Service. Outside the foregoing limits, we treat the request as a yes.
Refunds outside the first-cycle window — later monthly charges, the annual renewal, and the unused remainder of an annual term after the window has passed — are not generally available, except where required by law.
4. Unused Coins do not refund and do not carry over
Your allowance of 30 Coins resets each month (on the annual plan too, where Coins are released monthly across the paid year). Unused Coins do not carry into the next month, and they are not refunded if you cancel. On the annual plan, cancelling stops the next yearly renewal but does not refund the unused remainder of the year you have already paid for. This is a fixed monthly grant of Coins that resets — not stored value you can cash out. (One-time Coin packs, section 4a, are separate: they do not reset and persist until used.)
4a. One-time Coin packs
From time to time we offer one-time Coin packs — currently 10 extra Coins for $7.99. A pack is a single charge through Stripe and does not auto-renew. Pack Coins are added to your balance and are spent before your monthly allowance. Unlike the monthly allowance, pack Coins do not reset at renewal; they require an active subscription to use, so if your subscription lapses the unused pack Coins are held (not forfeited) and become usable again when you resubscribe — subject to the account-deletion and data-retention schedule in the Privacy Notice section 4.
A pack is non-refundable once you have used any of its Coins. If you purchased a pack and have not used any of it, write to support@bloomsee.app within 7 days with the subject line “Refund request” and we will refund it to the original card, subject to the bad-faith limits in section 3(b). Quality failures and timeouts on a shoot paid with pack Coins are credited back to your balance under sections 5 and 6 (a credit to your balance, not a card refund). Duplicate or erroneous charges are always refunded.
5. Automatic Coin credit for quality failures
Every shoot you start reserves a fixed number of Coins from your allowance. We screen each output for face presence, similarity to your Photo Profile, and basic safety. If fewer than 70% of the photographs on a single shoot pass the screen, we automatically credit the spent Coins back to your allowance — typically within 24 hours of the shoot completing. This is a credit to your allowance, not a refund to your card. Credits do not extend the billing period.
6. Generation timeouts and late deliveries
If a shoot does not complete within a reasonable operational timeout (currently eight minutes of wall-clock time per shoot), the unspent Coins for that shoot are credited back to your allowance under the same mechanism as section 5. A video clip is a single output, so if it fails or times out we refund its full Coin cost to your allowance the same way. If the AI provider later returns the late frames (within a 24-hour window), we deliver them as a courtesy “bonus delivery” emailed to your account address from hello@bloomsee.app, without charging your allowance a second time.
7. No refund on enforcement termination
If we suspend or terminate your account for a violation of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use rules (for example, uploading someone else’s photograph, generating prohibited content, or circumventing the safety filters), the remaining Coins are forfeited and the charge for the then-current period is not refunded. Enforcement termination is described in the Terms.
8. Reactivation and account deletion
If you cancel and re-subscribe within 60 days, we restore your Photo Profile and you can resume the Service without re-onboarding. We do not automatically destroy your Photo Profile when you cancel; we retain it on the schedule in the Privacy Notice section 4. You can delete it yourself from /account at any time.
Account deletion via /account enters a 24-hour grace period during which you can cancel from the same page. After the grace period closes, deletion is irrevocable and we permanently destroy your biometric data from S3, typically completing within a further 24 hours. Subscription charges already collected before the deletion are not refunded by the deletion itself; if a refund is appropriate, request it under section 3 first, then delete.
9. Chargebacks
You always retain your right to dispute a charge with your bank under your cardholder agreement and applicable federal law (Regulation E for debit cards, Regulation Z for credit cards). We ask only that you contact us first. Before initiating a chargeback, please write to support@bloomsee.app and give us a chance to make it right — we are responsive and reasonable. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension and may forfeit eligibility for future trials.
10. How refunds appear
When we approve a refund, it is processed through Stripe to the original payment method, and typically appears in your statement within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. We do not refund to alternate payment methods, gift cards, or store credit. Currency is U.S. dollars; if you paid in another currency, your bank’s conversion rate at the time of refund applies. Charges from Bloomsee appear on your card statement under a descriptor set by our payment processor; the exact form depends on your card issuer’s display.
10a. Taxes
Bloomsee Plus is priced at US$19 per month, or US$119 per year on the annual plan, in U.S. dollars. Prices shown on the pricing page and in your receipt do not include any sales tax, GST, HST, PST, VAT, or other indirect tax that may be due on your purchase under the law of your state, province, or country. Where any such tax is your responsibility, you are responsible for it. If Bloomsee later begins collecting tax at checkout, we will display it on the pricing page and notify subscribers in advance.
11. Required-by-law refunds
Nothing in this Policy limits a refund or remedy required by an applicable consumer-protection law in your state or province. If a law in your jurisdiction provides a stronger refund right than this Policy, that law controls.
